What information should be included in a container house RFQ?

Need this answered for your project? Send the site location and quantity — you get a written answer and a quotation.
Short answer

A container house RFQ should include 12 fields to make quotes comparable: quantity, model, layout, climate, MEP standard, destination, Incoterm, timeline, plus panel specification, certification requirements, installation scope, and payment terms. Providing all 12 ensures suppliers quote on the same basis, reducing revisions and avoiding hidden cost gaps.

Standards & references

  • ISO 668 — Series 1 freight containers: classification, dimensions and ratings (the dimensional basis for 20FT / 40FT modules).
  • ISO 1496-1 — Series 1 freight containers: specification and testing, used as the reference for corner castings and lifting points.
  • ISO 9001 — quality management system; inspection records and test reports are issued per order.
  • IEC 60364 — low-voltage electrical installations, applied to the cabin wiring layout supplied with each unit.
  • EN 1090-1 — execution of steel structures; can be specified when the destination market requires a declared execution class.
