Oil & Gas Field Camp Modules
Accommodation, welfare and office modules for oil and gas field operations, specified for harsh climates and fast mobilisation.
Field camps for oil and gas operations have to be mobilised quickly, work in heat or cold, and be moved again when the rig moves. Container modules are the standard answer, but the specification matters more than the module type: insulation thickness, wall and roof panel density, window performance, fire rating and the electrical protection all need to match the field conditions rather than a catalogue default.
Modules typically supplied
- Accommodation — single and twin rooms, two to four per module, with en-suite where the layout allows
- Welfare — change rooms, drying rooms, showers and toilets
- Offices — expandable units for the field office, meeting room and control room
- Medical — first-aid and clinic modules with washable surfaces and independent power points
- Dining and recreation — mess hall and recreation modules joined into blocks
Specification points we confirm with you
Design temperature range, snow and wind load, required fire rating of panels, hazardous-area restrictions where relevant, electrical standard and protection class, and whether the camp will be relocated. Those answers set the insulation, panel, window and wiring specification before any price is quoted.
Mobilisation
Modules travel finished or flat packed depending on the required delivery speed and the freight budget. For a first phase we normally recommend finished expandable units so the camp is habitable within days of arrival, with flat pack or folding modules for the expansion phases.

Flat Pack vs Folding vs Expandable vs Modular: Structural Comparison
The four families differ mainly in how much factory work travels with the module. That single variable drives shipping cost, crane needs, assembly hours and the resale value of the unit.
Camp Layout and Selection: A Decision Tree for Container Camps
Camp design starts with headcount and duration, not with unit prices. Those two answers eliminate most of the options before you request a quotation.
Winterising a Container House: Insulation, Frost and Snow Load
Cold is not the hard part — water is. A winterised container house fails through frozen pipes, snow load on a flat roof, and condensation freezing inside the wall.
