What is the best container house for a hot climate?

Need this answered for your project? Send the site location and quantity — you get a written answer and a quotation.
Short answer

Rock wool panels at 75 mm with a reflective roof coating and shaded glazing perform well in hot climates; polyurethane is also suitable where the priority is cooling load rather than fire performance. Roof solar gain usually matters more than wall insulation.

Standards & references

  • ISO 668 — Series 1 freight containers: classification, dimensions and ratings (the dimensional basis for 20FT / 40FT modules).
  • ISO 1496-1 — Series 1 freight containers: specification and testing, used as the reference for corner castings and lifting points.
  • ISO 9001 — quality management system; inspection records and test reports are issued per order.
  • IEC 60364 — low-voltage electrical installations, applied to the cabin wiring layout supplied with each unit.
  • EN 1090-1 — execution of steel structures; can be specified when the destination market requires a declared execution class.
