Obtain an Import Declaration Form through the bank, arrange PVoC inspection and certificate of conformity with a KEBS-appointed agent before shipment, then clear at Mombasa with invoice, packing list, bill of lading, certificate of origin and the CoC. Duty and VAT apply, and the CoC is the single document most often missing.
Kenyan import control is built around conformity verification in the country of supply, which means the inspection has to be planned into the production schedule.

Technical notes
Kenya's electrical supply is 240 V 50 Hz with Type G sockets, so specify the unit accordingly. High-altitude sites need attention to UV exposure and to the reduced air density affecting cooling equipment. Coastal sites near Mombasa need a corrosion-resistant coating system.
